Wool is a natural fiber that contains lanolin – a natural waxy, protective substance that helps resist odors and manage moister. This means that the wool material by itself has a self-cleaning quality and does not need to be washed regularly to keep fresh.

Some general advice:

• Ventilate your wool garment outside for a while.
• If a stain has occurred, try to treat it with a damp cloth.
• For difficult stains, try to treat it with liquid wool detergent. Always test on a small, not visible area first before treating the actual stain.
  

If you must wash your wool garment – follow the wash care label thoroughly and hand it in to a certified dry cleaner.
