LEATHER
Leather is a fantastic material in many ways. Beautiful and versatile. Comfortable, breathable and resistant. With time, leather will develop patina and unique character. By caring for your leather garments, you contribute to sustainable consumption as it will last for several years to come.
For the majority of our leather garments, we use leather treated with plant-based tannins - vegetable tanned leather. This means that the tanning is made from natural sources such as leaves and bark instead of chromium sulfates. The tanning process makes the leather durable, strong and robust – which also means that it will, if cared for, last longer than a lifetime.
How to care and wash a leather garment
Start by reading through the wash care label. Never wash leather garments in a washing machine. When cleaning is needed, contact an authorized leather care specialist.
General Stain Removal Tips
Water-Soluble Stains - For stains without any greasy content, gently dab the area with a clean, damp white cotton cloth. Follow up by drying with a soft cloth. Let the leather air dry, then lightly rub leather against leather to restore texture.
Food Stains - Wipe away residue with a damp cloth. Since food often leaves oily marks, fat stains may appear. If the stain remains, seek help from a leather care professional.
Grease/Fat Stains - Use a mild soap solution and apply gently with a cotton cloth or sponge. Avoid soaking the leather.
Dairy Stains - These may leave oily residue. Dab with a damp cloth or rinse lightly with cold water. Apply white chalk to absorb excess oil, allow to dry completely, then brush off or rub leather against leather.
Important: Never use petrol, acetone, or other harsh solvents—they may damage the color and
finish of the leather.
