SUEDE

Suede is a soft, velvety type of leather with a smooth, matte finish. It’s made from the back side of the animal hide, which gives it that signature texture and natural warmth. Suede is known for its luxurious feel and effortlessly stylish look. It develops a unique patina over time, making each piece truly your own.

Good to know

Suede is a natural material that’s a little more delicate than smooth leather. It doesn’t love rain or oil, and it tends to attract dust — but with the right care, it ages beautifully.

How to care and wash a suede garment

Suede and fur suede are delicate materials that easily attract dust and dirt. To keep your garment fresh:

  • Remove light dust or polishing powder with a suede brush or a lint roller.
  • Use a soft suede brush or a piece of fine foam rubber to gently brush off dirt.
  • Avoid pressure or repeated rubbing – suede is sensitive and can easily be damaged.

Note: Softer leathers, including suede, are prone to scratches. Handle with care and avoid contact with sharp objects.

Fat Stains - To treat greasy marks, cover the stain with white chalk powder and let it sit overnight to absorb the oil. Brush off the chalk and, if needed, gently rub suede against suede to restore the surface.

Store your suede garment

  • When travelling, roll your garment to avoid sharp creases.
  • At home, hang your suede item on a broad hanger in a well-ventilated space.
  • Avoid storing in vacuum bags or compressed spaces – suede needs air to breathe.

With the right care and storage, your suede jacket will stay beautiful season after season.
